Al Bundy

Ed O'Neill is best known for playing Al Bundy on Married with Children, the most iconic working class character on television since Archie Bunker. The show ran for 11 seasons, and launched O'Neill into thousands of American households each week. In 2009, O'Neill returned to family comedy with ABCs Modern Family, a show about unconventional families. O'Neill played Jay Pritchett, a man newly remarriremarried to a much younger woman. The series has received warm praise, and O'Neill has received three Emmy Award nominations for his work on the show.
